December Snippets

Dear Friends,
Winter!  Time to settle down into our nests and stitch -- right?  Well, here in Stowe we've been taking great walks while enjoying Spring-like conditions.  The skiers are enjoying the mountain as they've been making snow at night so this is a perfect resort town.  We can still enjoy the nest stitching, though, because no matter the temps, it still gets dark at 4:00!  Hibernation at its Vermont best!

If you are a cross stitcher two great designers have presented new projects.  Lizzie*Kate has given us "Snow Story" -- a "winter" snowman scene, not just for Christmas but it can be out all through the chilly months.  All 3 charts are in the shop.

Country Cottage Needleworks has presented "Gingerbread Village."  The first 2 of the 11 parts of this charming series are in stock.  If you are interested in collecting the charts as they are released through the year, I'll be happy to hold them for you.  Also, the shop is expanding the Classic Colorworks line so if you want the ones for the series, no problem.

The sleds are very popular and there are many new patterns as well as anew shipment of sleds and perforated paper.  Take a look and let me know if you want to get started on next year's ornaments.

Speaking of next year's projects, I will be ordering from Kathy Schenkel Designs during the first week of January.  Her needlepoint canvases are so very popular -- small and whimsical.  A 20% discount will be given for every canvas you order with credit card by Jan. 6.

Although a little white stuff would help, we still look forward to this beautiful season.  I thank you again for your business support throughout the year.  The Wooden Needle remains strong because of your loyalty.  My greatest wish for all of you is peace in your hearts.  While out running your holiday errands, smile at someone you don't know.  It may be the only smile shared with them that day.  Hold your loved ones a little tighter for one extra minute longer.  Be well, dear friends.

Wishing you Christmas blessings!
Xrossing in Friendship,
Kathy
