Dear Friends,
It was a busy summer at The Wooden Needle -- great to visit with so many of you. The fall colors are past their peak yet they continue to enrich my morning drive. The vibrant yellow-golds of the birches continue to cling to the trees and the reds of the maples have taken on a rustier hue. I love the smell of the wood stoves firing up some evenings. It makes me ready to settle into my stitching nest! How about you? Maybe some of the following notes will inspire you.

*Many new needlepoint designs are available from all the designers, but two favorites are still Raymond Crawford and Melissa Shirley (I would love to do Vicki Sawyer's "Garden Party"). I'm happy to order the canvas you want then help you select threads and offer stitch suggestions.
