December 2009
Dear Friends,
Well my Vermonters know for sure that it's officially Winter.  It was -8° this morning!  For my distant customers, it's just wicked cold!  Great weather for snuggling in and stitching (after you bake, cook, decorate, wrap, and do Christmas)!  Next week you'll have more time and what fun it will be.  Did you remind Santa to pick up your gift certificate to The Wooden Needle?

This newsletter is to inform you of shop hours over the next few weeks.  I will be closing for a few days in order to attend my husband's family reunion in Atlanta.  It's a hard time to close with many of you probably coming to ski, but without him, there would not be much of a shop.  He is the "nerd" side of this business partnership and he has given up countless hours to keep me going.  I promised him that we could do this.  If there is anything that you need, please don't hesitate to call or email.  I am very willing to mail to you.  There will be new canvases after the first of the year and always new cross stitch designs.  Of course, threads, threads and more threads.  (note *I will answer emails when I return.)

Please note that after this one, future newsletters will be coming from my new email address.  Please add this to your address book:

kathy@wooden-needle.com

I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of this tiny shop.  Business-wise 2009 was a fantastic year and it would not have been without your emotional and financial support.  As many of you know, my parents have been ill and I have had to close at unexpected times.  You have continued to make The Wooden Needle your shop and I am sincerely grateful.  I wish all of you and your families good health and happiness.  My Christmas prayer for each of you is for a peaceful heart.

Best wishes,
Xrossing in Friendship,
Kathy
