Dear Friends,
Happy summer!  Time is here for great get-togethers with friends and family -- picnics, fireworks, and reunions!  Also, don't forget those lazy days on the deck.  Those are the moments when you can take out your stitching projects and give yourself some much needed rest.  You should see the shop!  It's chock full of new stuff -- cross stitch charts and needlepoint canvases.  I just know you'll find something new to keep your fingers busy, but not break a sweat!  (I hate to sweat! -- icky!) 

Here are some important dates to mark on your calendar
*Fourth of July: "7 Miles of Sales" (from Stowe village up to the mountain)
*July 28: Happy #5 Anniversary @ The Wooden Needle
*deadline for all Christmas finishing to be in the shop: September 1 -- no exceptions!
*next stitch camp: Nov. 15

Two more painted needlepoint designers have added their catalogs to the shop.  Come take a look and it will be a pleasure to order something new for you!

Charted canvas designs have become very popular!  The cross stitchers love them because you count from a chart, but long stitches are used on canvas which is easier to see than linen so it's a nice break.  The needlpointers are enjoying them as the cost is less than a painted canvas, but you get to use the luscious threads which give wonderful texture.  Take a look at what is available and if I can order one for you, I'll be happy to kit it up.

Don't forget -- stitch guides for needlepoint canvases not purchased at The Wooden Needle are happily written!  Fee for most guides is $35.  Never feel uncomfortable bringing in a canvas with which you need help selecting threads.  All thread lines in the store are building constantly and if I don't have the color, I can get it.
